Obituary

Colombo, Aldo E. - of Bayonne and formerly of Carlstadt, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday March 10th, he was 89. Before retiring in 1986, Aldo was a salesman and purchasing agent for the STM Supply Company Inc. of Hope Lawn, NJ for 30 years. He was an Army Veteran of WWII, Past Adjutant & Chaplain of the East Rutherford Memorial Post 8374 VFW, member and past President of The Bayonne Lions Club, member of The American Legion Post 69 Carlstadt, The East Rutherford Veterans Alliance and The Lyndhurst Elks Lodge 1505 BPOE. Aldo was the devoted husband of the late Helen M. Colombo (nee: McCarren) and the beloved brother of the late Val Colombo and Lydia Lowry. He is survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, great nieces and great nephews. Visitation will be held on Tuesday March 13th (Aldo's birthday) from 4-8 PM at Migliaccio Funeral Home, 851 Kennedy Blvd. (at 33rd St.) in Bayonne. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday March 14th at 10:30 AM at St. Andrew's Church, 125 Broadway in Bayonne with an hour visitation held prior at Migliaccio's. Internment will be held at Ocean View Cemetery, Armory Road Oakwood Heights in Staten Island, NY. Condolences may also be sent to the family at www.MigliaccioFuneralHome.com.
