Cimmello, Alfred "Fred" - 92, the last and youngest of the Cimmello Family, passed away on Monday September 16, 2013. Fred was the devoted husband to the late Mildred (nee: Pugh) and the loving step-father to Charles McClain. Fred is survived by many nieces and nephews as well as Elsie Wasielewski, an extended family member who gave Fred countless hours of care which allowed him to remain in the comfort of his home as health issues mounted and his body began to fail. Fred was pre-deceased by his parents Maria (nee: Squalante) and Albert as well as siblings; Rose Salerno, Tom Cimmello, Lucy Mazzucola, John Cimmello, Marie Piscitelli (D'Appolito), EllaPawluk, Angie Gaeta and Ann Patti. Fred was a member of The CWV Post 1612 and served in the Army during D-Day Invasion of WWII. He was later wounded in combat and received a Purple Heart for Military Merit. Visitation will be held Friday September 20th from 4-8 PM at Migliaccio Funeral Home, 851 Kennedy Blvd. (at 33rd St.) in Bayonne. A funeral mass will be held Saturday September 21st at 9:30 AM at Assumption Church, 91 W. 23rd St. in Bayonne with entombment to follow at Hollywood Memorial Park in Union.
