Liga, Andrew Jr. - of Bayonne passed away peacefully with family by his side on Thursday May 24th, he was 62. Andrew was a proud Veteran of The Vietnam War serving from 1968-71 as a member of "The Jungle Warriors" 6th Battalion 11th Artillery. He married his childhood sweetheart Rosa (nee: Carbone) and they have been happily married for the last 42 years. Andrew was the devoted father to Maria Kiniery and her husband Neal, Helen Hanson and her husband Bruce and to James Liga and his wife Debra and he absolutely cherished his grandchildren Heather, Brandon, Neal, Nicolas, Marianna, Kayla, Katelyn and the late Patrick. He is survived by his sister Helen Liga as well as many loving aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Andrew was especially fond of his cousin Judy Ann and his niece Christina for their exceptional kindness. Andrew was pre-deceased by his parents Andrew and Victoria (nee: DeTore). A visitation will be held on Tuesday May 29th from 5-9 PM at Migliaccio Funeral Home, 851 Kennedy Blvd. (at 33rd St.) in Bayonne. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday May 30th at 11:00 AM at Assumption Church, 91 W. 23rd St., in Bayonne with a military interment to follow at William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery in Wrightstown, NJ. In lieu of any flowers the family requests that donations be made in Andrew's memory to The Fisher House Foundation helping military families.
