Angelina Traina (nee: Azzarello) - of Bayonne passed away peacefully on Saturday June 7th 2014, she was 93 years old. Born in San Giovanni Gemini, Sicily, Angelina worked as a seamstress in Bayonne for many years before retiring. Angelina was very active with Our Lady of Assumption Parish in Bayonne as a member of The St. Ann's Society, The Rosary Society and The A.C.I. Angelina was an avid listener of Radio Maria who loved spending time in her garden. She was famous for making her homemade sauce and wine as well as her knitting, which she enjoyed right up until she passed away. Angelina was the devoted wife of the late Angelo Traina and the loving mother to Nina Sciabetta and husband Salvatore, Pino Traina and wife Maria, Francesca Manetta and husband Salvatore, Carmelo Traina and wife Sarina, Rosa Traina, Salvatore Traina and wife Joanne, Rita McCloud and husband James and Frank Traina and wife Sheri. Angelina was also the beloved grandmother to 28 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren with number 17 on the way! Angelina was pre-deceased by her parents Carmelo and Carmela (nee: Leo) and her brothers Lorenzo and Giuseppe and sisters Gina, Melina, Nazarena and Concetta. Surviving Angelina are a long list of loving nieces, nephews such as Pietro and Giovanni Filippone here in the U.S., cousins, in-laws such as Rosa Furnari and dear, dear friends like Teresa Tinnirello. A visitation will be held for Angelina on Wednesday June 11th from 4-8 PM at Migliaccio Funeral Home, 851 Kennedy Blvd. (at 33rd St.) in Bayonne. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 9:30 AM on Thursday June 12th at Our Lady of Assumption Church, 91 W. 23rd St. in Bayonne with family and friends invited to gather at the funeral home beginning at 8:30 AM. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum in North Arlington, NJ. In lieu of any flowers the family requests that donations be made in Angelina's memory to The Assumption Church in Bayonne.
