Angelo Scianni, of Bayonne passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2013, he was 93 years old. Born in Bayonne, Angelo was the beloved husband to the late Rose (nee: Paradiso) and also the son of the late Raffael and Josephine Scianni (Cocci) . Angelo was predeceased by his brother, Anthony Scianni (Rosalie), his sisters Mary Castagna (Scianni), (Joseph), and Carmela (Scianni) Holle (William) and Rose DeRosa. Angelo is survived by his sister Ann Marie (Scianni) Barrella (Frank) and his step-brother Albert Petulla (Florence). Brother in-law of Benedict Paradiso of Staten Island. Dear friend of Renee Della Rosa. Loving father of Ralph Scianni (Judith), and Joanne Kouvel (Peter). Loving grandfather of Peter Charles Kouvel (Cristina), Kristy Rose DeVito (Christopher), Angelo Ralph Scianni, and Ralph Mayson Scianni. He is survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends Angelo was employed by Exxon for 26 years and proudly served in the United States Army (7th Armored Division), attaining the rank of Corporal. He was in the infamous Battle of the Bulge and a number of other European Campaigns. Angelo received two Bronze Stars and a number of other medals for his duty to his Country and was a life member of the VFW. He was also the member of the F.A.Mackenzie Post and also a lifelong member of the Bayonne Family Community Center (BFCC), formally the Bayonne YMCA. A visitation will be today, Monday October 21st from 2-8 PM at Migliaccio Funeral Home, 851 Kennedy Blvd. (at 33rd St.) in Bayonne. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday October 22nd at 9:45 AM at St. Andrew's Church, 125 Broadway in Bayonne will interment to follow with military honors at Holy Name Cemetery in Jersey City.
