Obituary

Anna Doria (nee Lettera)- Surrounded at home by her loving family, peacefully entered into eternal rest at the age of 89. Anna was born and raised on Via Duomo, Naples Italy until settling in Bayonne in 1946. Anna was predeceased by her parents Rosa (nee Frederico) and Gennaro Lettera of Naples, Italy, siblings Fortuna, Nunzia, Lina, Rita, Melina, Gennaro & Antonio, all of Naples, Italy. Anna is survived by her loving husband of 70 years, Vito, her sister Monna of Naples, Italy, daughter Betty Karabinos and her husband, Paul Sr. of Manahawkin, sons Victor Doria and his wife Stephanie, Robert Doria and his wife Donna, all of Bayonne, her "other daughter" Lydia Kleiman and her husband Michael of Aiken, South Carolina and her "other son" Rev. John J. Korbelak, pastor of St. John the Baptist R.C, Hillsdale NJ. Anna, who was known as Nanny by all who loved her, leaves behind grandchildren Paul and his wife Ann Marie, Elizabeth, Jonathan and his wife Donna, Brandon, Christian, Ashley and husband Merv, Jacqueline & Michael. Also surviving Anna are her great grandchildren, Sydney, Tyler, Anthony, Ava, Matthew and Sloan as well as numerous nieces and nephews in and about Naples, Italy. Anna was an accomplished seamstress and apparel saleslady. She worked many years at The Paramount ladies shop until she left to become a co-founder of THE BABY BARN / YOUNG EXPRESSIONS CHILDRENS' BOUTIQUE. Her talents in the apparel industry were a perfect match to her skills as a homemaker and cook. She took great pride in the delicious meals she prepared for the family and friends, especially during the holidays when everyone gathered at her home. A PRIVATE, FAMILY ONLY visitation will be held today, Monday April 21st from 9-10:15am at Migliaccio Funeral Home, 851 Kennedy Blvd. (at 33rd St.) in Bayonne. There will be a mass of Christian burial that all may celebrate beginning today Monday April 21st promptly at 10:30 am at Assumption Church, 91 W. 23rd St. in Bayonne with interment to follow at Holy Name Cemetery in Jersey City. In lieu of any flowers the family asks that donations be made in Anna's memory to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
