Anna Figueroa (nee: Rodriguez) – 72, of Jersey City passed away peacefully on Sunday November 18th 2018. Born in Puerto Rico, Anna was a bartender at Joe's Tavern & Joe's 85 in Jersey City for many years before they closed. She was the devoted mother to Aladino Figueroa Jr., Maritza Medina and her husband Joel and to Zuleka Figueroa-Maya and her husband Heriberto. She was the beloved grandmother to Valerie Rodriquez, Ashley Lamboy and husband Benjamin, Ian Figueroa, Vanessa Ortiz & Destiny Figueroa and the loving great-grandmother to Kylee Lopez, Benjamin Lamboy Jr. and Elijah Botte. Anna was pre-deceased by her siblings Oswaldo, Antonio Jr., Nereida & Nancy and surviving her is her brother George Cancel and his wife Francis, as well as many other loving family members and close friends. Visitation for Anna will be held on Friday November 23rdfrom 10 AM – 12 noon at Migliaccio Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 851 Kennedy Blvd. (at 33rdSt.) in Bayonne with a prayer service to be celebrated at some point during the visit. Interment will immediately follow at Hoboken Cemetery in North Bergen, NJ.
