Anthony Cocco 89, of Bayonne, New Jersey entered into eternal rest on August 17, 2012. He was a life long resident of Jersey City and worked for the Jersey City board of education. He retired in 1994 after 27 years as a master plumber. Anthony proudly served his country during WWII in the United States Navy seeing action in the South Pacific. Anthony was a beloved and devoted husband to Rose for 63 wonderful years and extraordinary father to Anthony(Carol), Denise Janiga (Joseph)and Susan Varalla (Richard). He is survived by his grandchildren Joseph A. Janiga, Sienna Cocco, Matthew Janiga, Richard Varalla, Jaime Trama, Tracey McClafferty, Kylee Weldon, Jillian Rogers and Faith Licher as well as 7 great grandchildren and his Brother in law Gerald (Marcella) Marafioti along with nieces nephews and close friends. Anthony was predeceased by his parents Michael and Patricia and his brother Theodore Cocco. Visitation will be on Sunday August 19th from 4:00 to 9:00pm at the Migliaccio Funeral Home 851 Kennedy Blvd (at 33rd), Bayonne. A mass will be offered at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church at 10:30am on Monday August 20, 2012. Entombment to follow at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, North Arlington, NJ. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Anthony's memory to the American Heart Association. Envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.
