Anthony R. Gallo, 78, of Bayonne passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 9, 2013 at Trinitas Regional Medical Center, Elizabeth. Anthony worked as a Pharmacist Technician for J.C. Medical Center for many years before retiring. He was also very active in many organizations, he was the past Grand Knight of the K of C, and Past Exalted Ruler of the Elks Lodge in Jersey City, Treasurer for the NJ Council of the Blind, VP of the Blind Men's Association, in Leonardo, NJ., President of the Hudson County Social Club of the Blind, and VP and member of the Blind Citizens Association. Anthony was a beloved husband to Martha (nee: Chojnacki) Gallo; a dearly beloved brother to Donna Cipriano; and a loving extended family member to Carole and Cheryl Olander who all dedicated their lives to him during his sixteen months of illness; also survived by his sister Cynthia Hogan. He was a loving Godfather to Richard Foligno, a loving uncle to Jodi Smilovic, Jack Cipriano, and Cynthia Dabydeen. A beloved cousin to Sandra Kay. Also survived by many other nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and dear friends. Anthony was predeceased by his parents Anthony and Katherine (nee: Foligno) Gallo, and his sister Corrine Szalay.
