Anthony Tazzetto – a lifelong resident of Bayonne, passed away peacefully at his residence surrounded by loved ones on Tuesday April 12th 2016, he was 92. An avid member of American Legion Post 19 and a proud WW II Veteran, Anthony was a highly decorated Sharpshooter during the war, receiving 2 Purple Hearts, 2 Bronze Stars and 5 other medals. He was the devoted husband to the late Christina (nee: LeFante) and loving father to Eugene (Johnna), Amy Miceli (Nick) and Maria Waters (Randy). Anthony was beloved grandfather to Nicole Oliver, Michael Miceli, Robert & Marc Casterline, Brian Waters and Anthony Tazzetto, as well as being great grandfather to seven. Anthony was pre-deceased by his daughter Rosemary Casterline and siblings Jack, Angelina, Caroline Drexler, Mary Mancini & Nancy Rio and surviving him are son-in-law Bob Casterline and a host of loving family members and dear friends. Visitation is Friday April 15th from 5-9 PM at Migliaccio Funeral Home, 851 JFK Blvd. (at 33rd St.) in Bayonne. A prayer service/visitation will be held on Saturday April 16th from 10 – 11 AM at the funeral home with interment to follow, with full military honors, at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington.
