Arthur Eugene "Gene" Burns - a lifelong resident of Bayonne, passed away unexpectedly on Monday November 17th 2014, he was 70 years old. Gene was originally born in Red Hook, Brooklyn and was a long time member of The Knights of Columbus. Gene was the beloved husband to the late Anna (nee: Scipione) and the loving father to Marissa Burns, Lenore Feeney and her husband Sean and to John Burns and his wife Theresa O'Rourke. Surviving Gene are his three granddaughters: Penelope and Sophia Feeney and Katherine Burns, as well as many nieces, nephews and dear friends. A visitation for Gene will be held on Thursday November 20th from 4-8 pm at Migliaccio Funeral Home, 851 Kennedy Blvd. (at 33rd St.) in Bayonne. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday November 21st beginning promptly at 10:45 am at St. Henry's Church, 645 Avenue C (at 29th St.) in Bayonne. There will be no services at the funeral home on Friday morning, so family and friends asked to meet directly at the church.
