Obituary

On August 22, 2023 Audrey Scibetta (nee: Glancy) left this Earth to join her Savior in Heaven after a short battle with Leukemia. She was born on June 22, 1935 in Jersey City, NJ to parents Richard and Lily Glancy. She lived in Bayonne, NJ before moving to Texas 19 years ago. Audrey is survived by her two children and three grandchildren. Daughter Sandra Mattli, son Dominick Scibetta and grandchildren Valerie Mattli, Cedrick Mattli, and Jack Scibetta.

Audrey married Domenick Scibetta in 1956. They were married for 66 years until Domenick's passing last July. Several years later she continued her education by attending Jersey City State College where she received her BS in Nursing. Audrey loved her nursing profession and throughout her career she served as a hospital nurse and a corporate nurse. She achieved many advanced certifications in nursing and enjoyed teaching health related courses at the corporations she was employed with (Revlon, Dean Witter).

One of Audrey's proudest professional accomplishments was starting the Hudson County (Bayonne) chapter of Toastmasters International. She also served as the NJ Governor for this organization. She was a life-long learner and believed in self-improvement.

When it was time to retire, Audrey and Domenick moved to Fairview, TX. Her greatest leisure activity over the past 18 years has been playing various card games with the many friends she has made here in Texas.

Audrey will have a viewing at Migliaccio Funeral Home, 851 Kennedy Blvd. (at 33rd St.) in Bayonne, NJ, on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 from 4-8PM.  She will be laid to rest on Wednesday at Holy Cross Chapel in North Arlington, NJ.   Mourners are instructed to meet at the funeral home starting at 10AM for an11AM departure to the cemetery.
