Bali Macchio (nee: Novoa) – lifelong of Bayonne, passed unexpectedly on Friday January 3 rd 2020. Bali was Founder & Director of the Windmill Alliance from 1985 - 2011. A tireless advocate for the special needs community of Bayonne for over 30 years and honored by The Special Education PTO, Hudson County ARC, Association of Brain Injured Children, Jersey Journal Everyday Hero and a Hudson County Historical Society Women of Achievement. Bali was the devoted wife of 23 years to John Macchio Jr. and beloved mother to Tara Hanley (Dennis) and Dana McCarthy (John), as well as being cherished grandmother to Jordan, Michael, Sophia, Victoria & Lily. She is survived by her sister Maureen Dias (Dennis), best friend Kathy DeMaria, nephews Danny & David Dias and many other loving family members & close friends. Visitation is Wednesday January 8 th from 4-8 PM at Migliaccio Funeral Home, 851 Kennedy Blvd. in Bayonne. Bali will be laid to rest with her husband on Friday January 10 th at Holy Cross Cemetery. Those wishing to attend must meet at the funeral home between 10-11AM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Islandview Court Fire Victims.
