KIRK, Barbara N.(nee:Syp) 79, of Bayonne passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 25 ^th , at the Bayonne Medical Center. The pillars of Barbara's life were her family, her career and her faith.  While she considered raising her children her most important vocation, she devoted nearly four decades to her work in the insurance industry, holding a range of positions culminating in bond manager. She and her husband loved traveling by cruise ship, especially their many visits to the island of Aruba. She held a special place in her heart for the beach towns along the Jersey Shore, enjoying many summer vacations there since her parents first took her to Long Branch and Seaside Heights when she was a girl. A lifelong resident of Bayonne, Barbara was a proud parishioner of St. Andrew's R.C. Church.

She was a beloved wife to the late John W. Kirk, a loving mother to John and his wife, Arlette, and to the late Robin M. Kirk. A dear sister to Mark Syp and his wife, Kathy, and Mitchel Syp and his wife, Joan. A cherished aunt to Mark, Timothy, Krista, Mitchel, and Bridget. Barbara was also predeceased by her parents Mitchel F. and Florence D. (nee:Altomonte) Syp.  On Barbara's behalf, her family offers special thanks to her godson, Harry Ogbin, and his wife, Lisa, for their love and assistance.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 30th, from 9:30am to 11:00am at the Migliaccio Funeral Home, 851 Kennedy Blvd, Bayonne. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered immediately following the visitation at 11:30am at Blessed Miriam Teresa Parish at St. Andrew's Church, Bayonne. Cremation to follow will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Barbara's memory may be made to the American Heart Association, with envelopes provided at the funeral home or a link on our website at MigliaccioFuneralHome.com . Also, at the family's request, please wear a mask or face covering during the visitation and funeral mass.
