Barbara Ellen Unger-Shields of Bayonne, NJ, age 63, passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday, December 12, 2020. She is the loving mother to Jessica Pogany-Middleton, John Shields Megan Shields Step mother to Christopher Shields and like a second mother to Sara Blau and family she is also the Mother-in-Law to Gino Middleton(Jessica) and Jordan Baumgardt(Megan) and Grandmother to Darnell Middleton. Barbara was born in Brooklyn, NY on January 31, 1957 to the late Art Unger and the late Patricia Condren-Unger. Sister to Scott Unger, Eddie Unger, Andy Unger and the late Jesse Unger. She graduated from Allentown High School class of 1975 Barbara then went on to graduate from Mercer Medical Center School of Nursing in 1978. Barbara worked the front desk at Dillin Tire for years, she loved meeting people helping people when needed even if she didn't have it to give she would find away and making everyone laugh. If you were lucky to meet Barbara, you would never forget her. She enjoyed music reading and collecting paperweights in her spare time. She will truly be missed and forgotten by all who knew her. No funeral or memorial service is immediately planned. The family will notify loved ones in the future when a service is scheduled.
