RUIU, Bernard A., 75, of Bayonne passed away peacefully on Friday September 14th at the Bayonne Medical Center. Bernard worked for Schuster Trucking Co. in Rutherford for many years before retiring. He also worked for Garito Caterers in Bayonne and Sambonet USA. Bernard was an active member of the Catholic War Veterans, Post 1612 and the American Legion. He also proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He was a beloved husband to Rolene (nee:Selick), a loving father to Albert and his wife Jennifer and to Michele and her husband John Matsikoudis. A cherished grandfather to John William Jr., William Bernard, Lillian Nicole, Asher Evan, and Sawyer Joseph. Dear brother to John Ruiu and wife Carmela, Bonnie Smith and husband Walter, and Claire Falciani and husband Vincent (deceased). Bernard was predeceased by his parents John and Josephine (nee:Carucci) Ruiu, and his brother Albert. Visitation will be Tuesday September 18th, from 4:00 to 8:00pm at the Migliaccio Funeral Home 851 Kennedy Blvd (at 33rd) Bayonne, NJ. A mass will be offered on Wednesday September 19th at 10:00am at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Bayonne. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Bernard's memory to one of his favorite charities The Wounded Warriors, The St. Jude's Children's Hospital or to the American Cancer Society. Envelopes will be provided at the funeral home
