Carlo A. Barbero - of Bayonne passed away peacefully at his residence surrounded by loving family on Thursday July 9th 2015 he was 89. Carlo was the owner/operator of Carl's & Rose's Deli for over 50 years and a Purple Heart Recipient during WWII. He was the devoted husband to the late Rose Barbero (nee: Pasquale) and beloved father to Joseph B. and wife Giovanna, Ernest B. and wife Marie, Susan DePalma and husband Frank, Josephine Romangno and her late husband John and Rose Wickersty and husband Jules. Carlo was also the loving grandfather to Jeffrey Wickersty and his girlfriend Christine, Keith Wickersty and wife Maressa, Jolene Begantino and husband Nick, Carlene Makowski and husband Keith, Christopher Barbero and wife Jessica, Nicole DePalma Huthwaite and husband Jordan and to Rose Romagno and fiance Joel Young, as well as being great-grandfather to Sandro Robert Bergantino, Caterina Bergantino, Joseph Carlo & Jack Makowski and Theodora Rose Huthwaite. Visitation is Sunday July 12th from 4-8 pm at Migliaccio Funeral Home, 851 Kennedy Blvd. (at 33rd St.) in Bayonne. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday July 13th at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Bayonne, commencing at 9:30 am with all welcome to gather at the funeral home beginning at 8:30 am. Entombment will follow at Woodbridge Memorial Gardens.
