Carmela Gizzi (nee: Versacio) 75, passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2020. Carmela, was born on June 5, 1944 in Jersey City, the loving daughter of the late Mary and Theodore Versacio. She was a dedicated Teacher Aide for the Jersey City Board of Education for 25 years. A long time resident of Bayonne, she retired to Bayville, NJ. Carmela is predeceased by her sisters Frances Lavarato, Theresa Russo, and Rose Lomolino, and her brothers Anthony and Frank Versacio.  Carmela is survived by her beloved husband of 54 years, Peter, and her loving children, Peter Gizzi, his wife Katarina, Richard Gizzi, his wife Heather, Rene' Seborowski, her husband Edward, Jennifer Frattini and her husband James. Cherished grandmother to Edward, Aidan, Matthew, Ella, Peter, Joseph, James, Michael, and Victoria. Also survived by her sisters Josephine, Elizabeth, Marie, Stella, Anna, her brother Theodore, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Due to the Coronavirus Pandemic and CDC guidelines, visitation at the funeral home and interment at Holy Cross Cemetery is private.
