Cecilia M. (nee: Fogarty) Masella, 88, died peacefully on April 2, 2013, in her home. She was a native of Jersey City and a longtime resident of Bayonne. Ceil was a devoted homemaker and had previously worked for both the A&P and the Lipton Tea Company. She was a lover of music, enjoyed writing songs and poetry, and was able to find the humor in any situation. Ceil was active in the Andrean Senior Citizens Club, the Prime of Life Club, the Exxon Annuitants Club, and the Downtowner's CIub. Ceil was pre-deceased by her loving husband, Jeremiah, her parents Timothy and Margaret (Verdon) Fogarty, her sister, Catherine Giandomenico, and childhood siblings William, Dorothy, and Joseph. She was the beloved mother of two children: son, Jeremiah Masella and his wife Elizabeth Ann; daughter, Marie Masella; grandson, Joseph Pacilio; sister-in-law, Linda Masella; and many nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held Friday, April 5, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Migliaccio Funeral Home, 851 Kennedy Blvd (at 33rd St.) in Bayonne. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday April 6th at 9:45 AM at St Andrew's Church, 125 Broadway (at 4th St) in Bayonne with interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in N. Arlington, New Jersey. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in Cecilia's memory to The American Parkinson Disease Association.
