Obituary

Charles "Charlie" Jacob Madsen III passed away on Saturday May 23 at the age of 69. He was the cherished husband for 46 years to his wife Carol (D'Andrea), his childhood sweetheart.

Together they raised two magnificent sons, Charles IV and Jospeh, who he was proud of every day of his life.
Charlie was also blessed to be "Pop" to his beautiful grandsons Charlie and Andrew who loved him dearly. Together they would spend time watching for turtles at the pond, ships going by at the park on 1st street and spending vacations at the shore and Pennsylvania.
He was a retired heavy equipment operator where he worked for the New Jersey Turnpike Authority for 33 years and also served as a grievance chairman on the union board.
He is also survived by his daughter-in-law Andreanna, his sisters-in-law Joan Ongaro and Phillis Rogers, and his nephews John Ongaro, and Gregory and Edward Rogers along with many caring friends. All services are private.
