YUREK, Chester, 85, of Bayonne, passed away peacefully at his residence on Wednesday December 24th. Chester worked for the Bayonne Naval Base, Jersey City State College and for the Bayonne Department of Public Works before retiring. He also coached Little League, and was a huge Mets fan and a die hard N.Y. Rangers fan. Chester also served his country proudly in the United States Navy. Chester was a beloved husband to Emily (nee:Pohle), a loving father to Cynthia DeFazio and her husband Craig and to Chester Yurek Jr. and his wife Paulette. Cherished grandfather to Dane, Scott and Eric Yurek, and to Tyler, Gabrielle and Nicolette DeFazio. A dear brother to Steven Yurek. Chester was predeceased by his parents Jacobus and Anna (nee:Lech) Yurek. Visitation will be Sunday December 28th from 2:00 to 6:00pm at the Migliaccio Funeral Home 851 Kennedy Blvd (at 33rd), Bayonne. A mass will be offered on Monday at 10:45am at St. Henry's Church, Bayonne, Entombment to follow at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, North Arlington. In lieu of flowers donations may be mad in his memory to the American Heart Association. Envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.
