Concetta (Connie) Pona, 93, of Point Pleasant, NJ passed away peacefully on Sunday February 4th.  Connie was born in Jersey City and resided in Bayonne most of her life where she worked at a confectionary store.  Connie also worked as a realtor and tax preparer. Connie was the cherished wife of the late Joseph A. Pona and loving mother to Rosanne, Joe (Roseann) and Louise (Rick Budka).  She was the beloved grandmother to Christie and Joseph Pona and to Ricky, Connor and Alexandria Budka. Connie was predeceased by her sister Rose Roses and Adeline Del Priore. She will be dearly missed by her niece Susan, whom the family would like to thank for regularly visiting Connie. She will also be missed by other family members and friends including her dog, Jessie. Connie's life revolved around her family and she enjoyed hosting celebrations at the Jersey Shore.  Her vivacious spirit will be missed.  When reminiscing about Connie, please raise a glass and toast "Salud, Chindon" then laugh, smile, and eat well.  Connie would have liked it that way.

Visitation is Thursday February 8th from 4-8 at Migliaccio Funeral Home, 851 Kennedy Blvd . (at 33rd St.) in Bayonne. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:45 on Friday February 9th at St. Henry's Church, 645 Avenue C in Bayonne with all welcome at the funeral home staring a 9:30 AM. Entombment will follow at St. Gertrude's Cemetery in Colonia, NJ.
