Dalila Soto (nee: Ruiz) - 86, of Bayonne passed away unexpectedly surrounded by family on Monday May 12th 2014. Born in Puerto Rico, Dalila was and avid member of Assumption Church's Golden Agers, Hispanic Rosary Society and was a Eucharistic Minister there as well as being very active with the 56th St. Senior Center Crocheting Group. Dalila was the devoted wife of the late Ismael and loving mother to Edwin and wife Mary Lou and to Nydia Soto-Blaney. Dalila was also the cherished grandmother to Bryan & Bonita Blaney, Jesse Soto and wife Tara, Edwina Pieri and husband James, Joseph Soto, and great grandmother to Caden, Noah & Kennedy Soto and Cooper Pieri. Surviving Dalila is her sister Miriam Santiago, she was pre-deceased by her nine other siblings. A visitation will be held on Thursday May 15th from 3-7 pm at Migliaccio Funeral Home, 851 Kennedy Blvd. (at 33rd St.) in Bayonne. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday May 16th at 9:30 am with family and friends invited to meet at the funeral home beginning at 8:30 am. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in N. Arlington. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in Dalila's memory to Assumption Soup Kitchen. Envelopes available at the funeral home.
