GIRONDA, Dominick M., 98, of Bayonne passed away peacefully at his residence on Friday June 30th. Dominick worked for F&A Distribution Co. as a truck driver for over 39 years before retiring. He served his country proudly in the United States Army from 1943-1946 during WWII in the South Pacific. He was a member of the Golden Ages, St. Joseph Guild of Holy Family Academy, Lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus Post 371, and a member of the Catholic War Veterans. Dominick was a beloved husband to the late Domenica "Mae" (nee:Barbarise), a loving father to Vincent M. and his wife Janice, Joseph A. and to Philomena L. Coyle and her husband Michael. Cherished grandfather to Michael Gironda and his wife Nicole, Stephanie Vissichelli and her husband Eric, Christopher Gironda and his wife Sarah, Christina and Michael Coyle, and to David and Patrick Gironda. Great grandfather to Juliana, Valentina and Nicholas Vissichelli and to Gemma Gironda. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Guiseppe and Philomena (nee:Setola) and his brothers Joseph, Paul and William Gironda. Visitation will be held on Thursday July 6th from 4:00 to 8:00pm at the Migliaccio Funeral Home, 851 Kennedy Blvd, Bayonne. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday July 7th at 10:45am at St. Henry's Church, Bayonne. Family and friends are welcomed to the funeral home on Friday morning beginning at 9:45am prior to mass. Entombment to follow at Holy Cross Mausoleum, North Arlington.
