IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Dominick
Orsini
June 1, 1925 – May 30, 2016
Dominick "Mimi" Orsini passed away peacefully at the age of 90 after a long illness on May 30, 2016, in Bayonne, New Jersey. He was born on June 1, 1925 in the town of Archibald, Pennsylvania, son of Consolata "Carmella" (nee Amore) and Giuseppe Orsini. He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years and lifelong love, Mary "Mae" Orsini (nee Boreman),his granddaughter Linda, and his siblings Letterio "Leo", Gianni "John", Anthony "Toto", Oreste "Rusty", Evelyn, and Joseph. A lifelong resident of Bayonne, he operated an automotive glass and upholstery business on Staten Island. He also served his country proudly in the United States Army during World War II.
He is survived by his daughter Catherine, his son Joseph and his wife Janice, his son Leo and his wife Caroline, and his daughter Mary and her partner Robert. A loving grandfather, he is survived by Jardana, Michael, Hannah, Julia, Alex, Joe, and Anna. His proud legacy extends to his great-grandchildren River, August, Elias, Eli, Silas, and Lilly Claire.
He is perhaps best remembered for his love of golf, both as participant, observer, and keen critic. Dominick appreciated the basic pleasures of life: good Italian food, Frank Sinatra, a glass of wine, an occasional cigar, and the love of family and friends. He especially treasured the warm smiles and contagious laughter of the family's youngest members during his later years.
Cremation Services were performed by Migliaccio Funeral Home, and Dominick's cremains are to be united with those of his late wife Mary in accordance with his wishes. In lieu of a memorial service, his children plan to gather later this year to scatter their parents' ashes.
