Vitone, Dominick (Danny) - a lifelong resident of Bayonne, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Friday February 3rd, he was 91. Danny was an avid member of the Tin Can Sailors and sailed during WWII on the USS Caperton DD650. He later became a machinist with General Dynamics and was until recently a messenger at IMTT in Bayonne. Danny was the beloved husband of the late Joan (nee: McNerney) and father of the late Doreen Kiniery as well as loving father to Daniel and his wife Renee, Susan and her husband Bill Napier, Donna and her husband Ron Weber and Joyce Vitone. Danny was also grandfather to Shawn, Todd, Amy, Travis, Billy, Erin, Ryan, Sarah and Anthony and great grandfather to Joseph, Andrew, Mia and Logan. Danny is survived by his sisters Josephine Nawrocki and her companion Tony, Jennie DeLucia and Antoinette Wohltman as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was pre deceased by his brothers Salvatore, Joseph and Louis and his sister Lucy Marinelli and her husband James as well as his brother in-laws Nick DeLucia and George Wohltman. Visitation will be held today Saturday February 4th from 7-9 PM as well as tomorrow Sunday February 5th from 2-6 PM at Migliaccio Funeral Home, 851 Kennedy Blvd. (at 33rd St) in Bayonne. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday February 6th at 9:30 AM at St. Henry's Church, 645 Avenue C in Bayonne with entombment to follow at Hollywood Memorial Park in Union. In lieu on any flowers the family asks that donations be made in Dominick's memory to The Bayonne Catholic War Veterans.
