Vitale, Donald "Don" - of Bayonne passed away peacefully on his birthday, Wednesday November 13, 2013, he turned 81 years old. A U.S. Army Korean War Veteran, Donald had retired from Pirelli Cable & Bayonne Hospital. He was the devoted husband of the late Frances (nee: Koach) and the beloved father to Michele Amodeo and her husband Joseph and to Mark and his wife Shirley. Donald was also the cherished grandfather to Joseph II, Justin & Timothy Amodeo and Michael & Ashley Vitale, he was also great grandfather to Vincent Vitale. A visitation will be held on Sunday November 17th from 2-6 PM at Migliaccio Funeral Home, 851 Kennedy Blvd. (at 33rd St.) in Bayonne. A funeral service will be conducted from the funeral home on Monday November 18th starting at 9 AM with a funeral mass beginning at 10 AM at Mt. Carmel Church, 39 E. 22nd St. in Bayonne with interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in Donald's memory to The Madeline Fiadini LoRe Foundation for Cancer Research.
