Dorothy D. Solecki, (nee: Kotsala) – of Bayonne, passed away peacefully of natural causes on May 23, 2024, she was 102. Dorothy was born in Scranton Pennsylvania on November 17, 1921 and was predeceased by her husband, Francis Solecki and her daughter, Elizabeth Ann Nickel. She lived a fulfilling life as a grandmother, mother, sister, wife and friend. Dorothy was a dedicated member of the Heart of Jesus Parish in Bayonne, New Jersey where she was a member of the choir, the church Treasurer and spearheaded local church dinners. She was also a member of the Young at Heart senior citizen club, Prime of Life senior citizen club and Telephone Pioneers. She loved reading, exercising and taking day trips to Atlantic City. Dorothy is survived by her loving family including her daughter Susan Shelton, three grandchildren; Samantha Serrano, Dane Purcell and Lee Purcell and many great grandchildren.  She will be missed dearly and live forever in our hearts.  Visitation and prayers for Dorothy will be held on Thursday May 30th from 11AM – 12PM at Migliaccio Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 851 Kennedy Blvd. (at 33rd St.) in Bayonne. Interment will follow at Forest Green Cemetery in Morganville, NJ.
