Edda Irigoyen-Carballo, of Bayonne, NJ, passed away on August 6, 2026, at the age of 82, after a long and courageous battle with cholangiocarcinoma. She was born on February 17, 1944, in Arecibo, Puerto Rico.

Edda was a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend who loved her family with her whole heart. She was incredibly selfless and would do anything for the people she loved. Her family could always count on her for love, comfort, encouragement, and unwavering support. She had a beautiful way of making those around her feel deeply loved and cared for.

Edda will also be remembered for her incredible strength and resilience. She was a true fighter until the very end. Above all, her greatest legacy will be the tremendous love she gave throughout her life, a love that will continue to live on through her family.

She was predeceased by her beloved son, David Carballo. She is survived by her daughter, Aliza Carballo-Baez and her husband, Rafael; her granddaughter, Kayla Hoffman and her husband, Patrick; as well as many cherished family members and friends.

There will be no services held at the funeral home. Cremation will be private.
