Edna Miceli (nee: Battista) - 97, of Bayonne went home to Our Lord, surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday November 10th 2015. Born in Union City, NJ and later of Midland Beach, Staten Island, Edna was the eldest of six children and the rock of the family. Edna worked 27 years for The US Postal Service before retiring, was a member of The I.L.G.W. and St. Vincent's Seniors Club and during her spare time loved traveling, cruises, Atlantic City and was a champion bowler. Edna was truly the "life of the party". She met and married her late husband Barney Miceli in 1946 and was the loving mother to Andrea Pratt, grandmother to Anthony Miceli, Crystal & Veronica Pratt and great grandmother to three. Also surviving Edna are her beloved niece Donna Barry and husband John, nephews John Jr. & Richard, nieces Mary Margaret, Patricia & Diane and dear friends Debbie (Palumbo) Krywinski & Maureen Gallagher and loving caretakers Darlene Krywinski and Shelly Reid. Visitation is Friday November 13th from 5-9 pm at Migliaccio Funeral Home, 851 Kennedy Blvd. (at 33rd St.) in Bayonne. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Vincent's Church in Bayonne on Saturday November 14th starting at 10am. Interment will follow at St. Gertrude's Cemetery in Colonia, NJ.
