Eileen D. Ponik (nee: Patterson) - of Bayonne NJ passed away peacefully with her loved ones by her side on Tuesday October 17th 2023.  Born to Paul and Francis (nee: Golden) Patterson of Barberton Ohio; Eileen moved to NJ with her mother.  It was there that she met her husband Andrew Ponik with whom she would welcome two sons.  While raising her family, Eileen also worked as a Payroll Executive for Global Industries in Bayonne for many years before her retirement in 2010.  She was most proudly, the loving mother to Andrew (Lorraine) and to Richard, and loving mother-in-law to Mary Beth.  Eileen was also the cherished grandmother to Lauren and Colleen, as well as to Zachary.  She was pre-deceased by her longtime companion Ralph as well as by her brother William and his wife Marg and surviving Eileen is a whole host of other loving family members and dear friends both here and in Ohio.  Visitation for Eileen will be held on Monday October 23rd from 2-4PM at Migliaccio Funeral Home, 851 Kennedy Blvd. (at 33rd St.) in Bayonne.  A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday October 24th at 9:30AM at St. Henry's Church, 82 W. 29th. St. in Bayonne, with all attendees asked to meet directly at the church in the morning as there will be NO services at the funeral home on Tuesday.  A private cremation will follow.  In lieu of any flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Eileen's memory to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, through a direct link that can be accessed by clicking the "Memorial Donations" tab directly below this obituary text.
