ROSIG, Ellen, (nee:Benford), 63, of Toms River, passed away peacefully on Friday June 21st at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center in New Brunswick. Ellen worked as a Teaching Assistant for the Bayonne Board of Education, and most recently retired from Liberty Science Center, where she was a most beloved welcome desk associate. She was an animal lover who adored her Dachshund dogs and rescue cats. Ellen was a beloved wife to Mario A., a loving mother to Holly Bonner (Joseph), Molly Borst (Kurt), and to Maggy Burns (Gregory). A cherished grandmother to Nuala and Aoife Bonner, Conrad and Charley Borst and to Logan and Chloe Burns. A dear sister to Joan Pellegrino (Anthony), Charles Benford (Sylvia), Joe Benford (Rose), and to Joyce Dobronsky (Richard). Ellen was predeceased by her parents Charles and Johanna (nee: DeRise) Benford and her brother John Benford. She was also survived and loved by many nieces and nephews.
A visitation was held on Saturday June 22nd at the Migliaccio Funeral Home, 851 Kennedy Blvd (at 33rd), Bayonne. Cremation followed. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Ellen's memory to the Liberty Humane Society, 235 Jersey City Blvd, Jersey City, NJ 07305 or on libertyhumane.org.
