Evangelina "Angie" Lamela (nee: Calvo) – 77, a lifelong resident of Bayonne passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday March 4th 2017. Angie was Valedictorian of Bayonne High School class of 1956. She later worked at Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton for many years as a word processor. Angie was also an avid member of Assumption Rosary Society, The Sons of Italy, The Red Hatters and The Golden Agers. Angie was the devoted wife to the late Antonio Lamela and loving mother to Antonio, Juan & Robert Lamela and to Maria Littrell. Angie was the beloved grandmother to Marcus, John, Kenneth, Zachary & Matthew and great-grandmother to Paisley & John Parker. She was pre-deceased by her parents Jean & Joe Calvo and brother Ray and surviving Angie is her brother Joseph Calvo and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation is Tuesday March 7th from 4-8 PM at Migliaccio Funeral Home, 851 Kennedy Blvd. (at 33rd St.). A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday March 8th at 11 AM at St. Andrew's Church, 145 Broadway in Bayonne with all welcome to gather at the funeral home starting at 10 AM. Private cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations in Angie's memory will be accepted at the funeral home.
