Evelyn Sammartino (nee: Haber-Gonzalez) - of Bayonne passed away unexpectedly on Friday October 24th, she was 71. Born in Manila, Philippines, Evelyn owned and operated Evelyn's Hair Salon and Artistic Plantation Plant Shop, both in Bayonne. She was the beloved mother to Nancy Migliaccio, Robert Sammartino and wife Mary, and Joanna McOrmond and husband Andrew. Evelyn was also the loving grandmother to Stephen & Shane Sammartino and to Grace McOrmond. Surviving Evelyn are her brother Jessie James Gonzalez and wife Kim of North Carolina and former spouse Joseph Sammartino, as well as a host of loving family members and dear friends. A visitation will be held on Wednesday October 29th from 2-4 and again from 7-9 pm at Migliaccio Funeral Home, 851 Kennedy Blvd. (at 33rd St.) in Bayonne. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday October 30th at 11 am at St. Vincent's Church, 979 Avenue C in Bayonne, with friends and family welcome to gather at the funeral home beginning at 10 am.
