Filomena "Fifi" Carpenter - a lifelong resident of Bayonne, passed away peacefully on Sunday February 2, 2014, she was 85 years old. Fifi worked int he family business, The Frank Carpenter Company in Bayonne, for over 50 years as well as working for The City of Bayonne for the last 23 years. Fifi was pre -deceased by her brothers Frank Jr., Paul, Donald, William & James, , her sister Rose Smith and her nephew Robert Carpenter. Fifi was the cherished, fun loving and free spirited aunt to her nephews; Frank Carpenter III and wife Christine, James Carpenter and wife Kim, nieces; Sandy Carpenter, Lois Ann Carpenter, Pamela Tower and husband Dan & Dina Overstreet and husband Dave. Fifi is also survived by a host of grand nieces/nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation will be held on Tuesday February 4th from 4-8 Pm at Migliaccio Funeral Home, 851 Kennedy Blvd. (at 33rd St.) in Bayonne. A funeral service will begin at the funeral home on Wednesday February 5th at 9:30 AM with a funeral mass commencing at 10:30 AM at Assumption Church, 91 W. 23rd St. in Bayonne with entombment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery Mausoleum in North Arlington.
