FILOMENA BUONINCONTRO Filomena Buonincontro - a lifelong resident of Bayonne passed away peacefully at her residence on Tuesday August 9th 2016. Filomena received a Bachelor Degree from Seton Hall Univ. and a Masters in English from NJCU. She was a member of The Catholic Alumni Club of NY and an English and reading specialist for over 20 years at Dickinson High School in Jersey City, she loved her job, the children she taught, her trips to Atlantic City and contributing to the local food pantries and charities. Filomena was the loving sister to Lucy Monacci and to Mary Krol and her husband Peter. She was pre-deceased by her parents Anthony and Maria (nee: Serinelli) and her sister Antoinette. Visitation will be held on Thursday August 18th from 4-8 PM at Migliaccio Funeral Home, 851 Kennedy Blvd. (at 33rd St.) in Bayonne. A funeral Prayer service will be celebrated at the funeral home beginning at 9:30 am on Friday August 19th with everyone welcome to gather at the funeral home beginning at 9 am. Entombment will follow at Holy Name Cemetery in Jersey City. In lieu of flowers please donate in Filomena's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital with envelopes provided by the funeral home, or to your local food pantry.
