DeTura, Frank A. - a lifelong resident of Bayonne, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Sunday January 13, 2013, he was 83 years old. Frank was the devoted husband of Juanita (nee: Barreiros) and the loving father to Nick DeTura and his wife Janice and Annette Brennan and her husband Pat. Frank was also the beloved grandfather of Matthew DeTura, P.J. Brennan, Morgan DeTura and Daniel Brennan and is survived by his loving niece & nephew Rita D. and Dominic Maratta and sister in law Lola Maratta as well as countless other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Frank proudly served his country in the Army during the Korean War and was an active member of the Bayonnne Lion's Club for 25 years where he served as a 2 term President., The Knights of Columbus as 4th Degree Knight, and St. Andrew's Parish where he served as Cub Scout Master, Usher and a member of The Holy Name Society. He adored his grandchildren and loved his travels with dear friends. A visitation will be held for Frank on Tuesday January 15th from 4-8 PM at Migliaccio Funeral Home, 851 Kennedy Blvd. (at 33rd St) in Bayonne. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday January 16th at 9:45 AM at St. Andrew's Church, 125 Broadway in Bayonne with interment to follow at Holy Name Cemetery in Jersey City. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in Frank's memory to St. Andrew's Food Pantry or Bayonne Visiting Nurse Hospice Care.
