Helen Sykowski (nee: Francis) - of Bayonne, passed away at her residence on Monday March 17th 2014, she was 74. Born in Glen Ridge NJ, Helen worked many years at The Hi-Hat and Melody Lounge in Bayonne and loved summers spent on Cape Cod. She was the former spouse to James Sykowski and loving mother to Michelle Hurley (David), Steve (Elva), Scott (Marilyn) and to Daniel Denton (Grace). Helen was also beloved grandmother to Megan Hand (Nathan), John, James, Thomas, Scott Jr., Jessica, Kimberly and Evan Sykowski, Patrick Hurley and Victoria, Sarah and Nicholas Ruibal as well as having 3 great grandchildren. Helen was pre-deceased by parents John Herbert and Mary Helen and is survived by siblings John Francis (Dolores) and Evelyn Johnson (Robert) and many loving nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Thursday March 20th from 3-8 PM at Migliaccio Funeral Home, 851 Kennedy Blvd. (at 33rd St.) in Bayonne. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11AM Friday March 21st at Calvary Church, 954 Avenue C in Bayonne with the family meeting at the funeral home at 10AM. Cremation to follow is private.
