WENZ, James, 67, of Bayonne passed away peacefully on Wednesday May 24th at the Jersey City Medical Center. James worked for the Verizon Corporation for 42 years. He was a member of the IBEW Union Local 827. James also served his country proudly in the United States Navy. He was a beloved husband to Theresa (nee:Netterwald), a father to Brian, Tara and Michele. A brother to Bob, Tom, Steve, Phil, and Maryann. James was predeceased by his parents George and Anna (nee: Beckerman) Wenz, and his brother Pete.

Visitation will be held on Friday May 26th from 6:00 to 9:00pm at the Migliaccio Funeral Home 851 Kennedy Blvd (at 33rd), Bayonne. A mass will be offered on Saturday May 27th at 11:00am at St. Paul of the Cross Church, 156 Hancock Ave, Jersey City. Family and friends are welcomed to the Funeral Home Beginning at 10:00am on Saturday before mass. Cremation to follow will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in James memory to the Cancer Research of Dr. Gulam Manji at Columbia University Medical Center. Checks should be made payable to the "Trustees of Columbia University"  and indicate in Memory of James Wenz/ in honor of Dr. Gulam Manji. Envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.
