Obituary

With profound love and sadness, we announce the unexpected passing of Janice Ann Feeney, originally of Jersey City, New Jersey, who later built a beautiful life and home in Bayonne, New Jersey, passed away surrounded by love. She was the heart and soul of her family—an extraordinary wife, devoted mother, cherished daughter, loving sister, grandmother and great-grandmother, beloved sister-in-law, treasured aunt and cousin, and a loyal friend to so many. Her life was a testament to true kindness, strength, faith, and unwavering love for all who crossed her path.

Janice was the beloved wife of William Feeney, with whom she shared 43 years of a wonderful and blissful marriage rooted in love, partnership, and devotion. He was her Baby Curl and she will forever be his Cupcake, BC ❤️ CC. Their love showed everyone what true love truly looks like. As a wife, she was steadfast, supportive, and endlessly caring. As a mother, she was nurturing, patient, and fiercely devoted, always putting her children first and guiding them with wisdom and compassion, never judgement. No matter what crazy problem she was approached with. Her family was her greatest joy, and she expressed her love in countless ways—especially through her cooking and hosting. Her home was a place of comfort and connection, filled with laughter and warmth, where no one ever left hungry and everyone felt welcomed, cared for, and at home.

Her love shone brightly in her roles as a grandmother and great-grandmother. She delighted in warm hugs, shared laughter, and creating special moments that will live on in the hearts of generations of her family.

A woman of deep faith, Janice was a devoted member of her church and lived her beliefs through service to others. She was a proud member of the Rosarian Society and served faithfully as a Eucharistic Minister and Bereavement Minister, offering prayer, compassion, and presence to those in need and walking alongside others during moments of both joy and profound loss.

Janice was known for her amazing and infectious laugh, her beautiful and kind eyes, her warm, welcoming smile, and her true heart of gold. Her voice was unmistakable—you knew it the moment you heard it—and it carried comfort, humor, and love in every word. She had a rare ability to make others feel instantly at ease, seen, and deeply loved.

She is survived by her beloved husband, William Feeney; her children, Thomas Nordt (Carey Nordt), Lisa Nordt Gebrail (fiancé Joseph Mignano), and Marie Ruby Ann Feeney; and her cherished grandchildren, Christopher Nordt (Daisy Hernandez), Brandon Nordt (Lisa Nordt), Zachary Nordt, Caleb Morales, Shaun Morales, and Emily Anne Boddie (her little angel), who brought her endless pride and joy. She is also lovingly remembered by her adored great-grandchildren, Colin Nordt, McKenna Nordt, Octavia Nordt, and Cameron Nordt, each of whom held a special place in her heart.

Janice is also survived by her loving sister, Antoinette Lamberti; her caring brother-in-law, Frank Feeney, and sisters-in-law, April Feeney, and Joanne Martinez; her beloved nephews, Sean Feeney (Lenore Feeney), John Cione (Leticia Cione) and niece Kathryn Martinez; her treasured great-nephew, John Cione Jr.; her cherished great-nieces, Penelope Feeney, Sophia Feeney, and Madeline Martinez;

She was predeceased by her parents, Thomas Lamberti and Marie Lamberti, mother-in-law Ruby Feeney and father-in-law Frances Feeney.

She is also survived by her beloved baby dog, Buddy, who was a constant source of comfort, companionship, and unconditional love, her protector, always right by her side.

Her laughter still echoes, her voice still comforts, and her love lives on in every heart she touched.
