Jean L. Burns (nee: Kelly) - a lifelong resident of Jersey City passed away suddenly at Jersey City Medical Center with her loved ones close by on Wednesday March 31st, 2021, she was 78.  Jean was a graduate of Snyder High School and New Jersey City University both in Jersey City and was the longtime owner of Jay's Uniforms on West Side Avenue in Jersey City as well as being an art teacher at P.S.#3 in Jersey City for many years before retiring. Jean was pre-deceased by her parents James & Jean (nee: Vitale) Kelly and her beloved husband Thomas Burns and surviving her are her lifelong devoted friend Linda Daniolowicz, her godson David Daniolowicz and many loving cousins and cherished friends.  A visitation for Jean will be held on Tuesday April 6th from 9:30 - 10:45am at Migliaccio Funeral Home, 851 Kennedy Blvd. (at 33rd St.) in Bayonne. A funeral mass will be celebrated immediately afterwards at 11AM at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 40 Sullivan Drive in Jersey City, with cemetery interment to follow at Holy Name Cemetery also in Jersey City.  In lieu fo any flowers the family requests donation be made in Jean's memory to "Operation Smile", with a link that can be found on her obituary page at www.MigliaccioFuneralHome.com .
