Johanna Castlegrande (nee: LaScala) – of Toms River, formerly of Bayonne passed away peacefully on Friday August 12th 2016, she was 78. Johanna took great pride in caring for her family, her friends and her neighbors. She was the devoted wife to Anthony Castlegrande for the last 58 years and loving mother to Anthony (April), Joseph, Tammy Laszkow (Edward), Donna Elia (Vincent) & Dianna Van Allen (Ronnie). Johanna was also beloved grandmother to Christopher Castlegrande (Jenna), Edward Laszkow Jr. (Stephanie), John Laszkow (Rachel), Vincent Elia Jr. (Valerie), Gina Elia, Tara Van Allen and Jessica & Danielle Crimaldi, as well as being cherished great-grandmother to Christopher and Leila . She was pre-deceased by her sisters Nettie LaScala (John) and Betty Solari (Roy) and surviving Johanna are her siblings Lucille Benpensata (Frank) and Joe LaScala, as well as a host of other loving family members and friends. Visitation is Tuesday August 16th from 5-9 PM at Migliaccio Funeral Home, 851 Kennedy Blvd. (at 33rd St.) in Bayonne. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday August 17th beginning at 10:45 AM at St. Henry's Church, 82 W. 29th St. in Bayonne with all welcome to gather at the funeral home starting at 9:45 AM. A private cremation will follow.
