Basile, John P. - a lifelong resident of Bayonne passed away peacefully with family by his side on Monday July 1st 2013, he was 64 years old. A Veteran Sergeant of The US Air Force and a Longshoreman for Local 1588, John was the devoted husband to Bernice (nee: Jay) Basile and loving father to Andrea, Patrick and John Basile Jr. and his wife Janine and to Melissa Ferrigno and Michelle Quevedo. John was also the beloved grandfather to Alyssa, Alexa, Sarah, Brandon, Raymond, Brianna, Sara, Ava & Lucas. He is survived by his sisters Judy Wojnikiewicz and her husband Wes and Lena Teri. A visitation and prayer service will all be held on Wednesday July 3rd from 3-8 PM with the prayer service and military honors to be conducted at 7 PM at Migliaccio Funeral Home, 851 Kennedy Blvd. (at 33rd St.) in Bayonne. Cremation will then be private. In lieu of any flowers the family asks that donations be made in John's memory to Grace Healthcare & Hospice Services.
