John Daniel Cashman Jr., 57, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at the Bayonne Medical Center surrounded by loved ones.

John was born on February 5, 1969, in Neptune, NJ and was the son of John and Patricia Cashman. He grew up in Wall, NJ and attended Monmouth University. John worked as a Trading Specialist and Market Maker on the New York Stock Exchange before becoming an Advertising Sales Director for Professional Sports Publications.

John was a loving father and took tremendous pride in his children and their accomplishments, particularly in their athletic endeavors which he proudly shared with those around him. His love of sports extended to coaching his son’s youth football teams, an experience that brought him great joy and allowed him to share his passion with others. John was an avid New York sports fan rooting for the Giants, Yankees, and Knicks. He also proudly supported the Georgia Bulldogs after his daughter attended the university. 

John is survived by his four children, Ryan, Amanda, Jenna, and Lauren; his former wife, Cecile; his sister, Mary; and his two nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, Patricia and John.

A private funeral service will be held on September 4, 2026.

John will be deeply missed and forever remembered by those who knew and loved him.
