John Anthony Di Cesare – of Lanoka Harbor NJ, formerly of Bayonne passed away peacefully with loved ones by his side on Saturday January 5th2019, he was 79. John was a proud Veteran of The US Army and later worked as a tavern owner opening Johnny Di's Up & Down Lounge in Bayonne before opening Massa's Tavern on Avenue A, which is still in the family today. John was the devoted husband to Kathleen (nee: McLean) Di Cesare and the beloved father to Colleen Di Cesare-Hennen, Jill Kozack (John) & John Di Cesare (Erin). John was also the cherished grandfather to Jack, Samantha, Kathleen "Kate" & Alexander Hennen and to Ryan & John Kozack. John was pre-deceased by his brother David and surviving him are his brother Joseph (Judy), his sister Marie Folger (Jim), sister in-law Lynn Di Cesare and a host of other loving family members and dear friends. Visitation will be Wednesday January 9thfrom 4-8 PM at Migliaccio Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 851 Kennedy Blvd. (at 33rdSt.) in Bayonne. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 9:30AM on Thursday January 10that St. Henry's Church in Bayonne with all welcome at the funeral home starting at 8:30AM.
