John Panico - a lifelong resident of Bayonne, passed away peacefully on Sunday June 8th, 2014, he was 92 years old. John worked as a Boilermaker with Local Union 28 for many years before retiring. He served in the Navy during WWII, was an active member of the CWV Post 1612 and coordinated the Assumption Parish Carnival for many years. John was pre-deceased by his devoted wife Gloria and his grandson John Ammirato. He was the loving father to Denise Ammirato and husband Anthony and to Thomas Panico. John was also the beloved grandfather to Toni Kamm and husband Adam and to Torrin Panico, as well as being great grandfather to Jackyln & Zachary Kamm and Jack Ammirato. Surviving John is his sister Mary Fego. A visitation will be held on Thursday June 12th from 9-11 am at Migliaccio Funeral Home, 851 Kennedy Blvd. (at 33rd St.) in Bayonne with a Funeral mass to be celebrated immediately afterwards beginning at 11 am at Assumption Church, 91 w. 23rd St. in Bayonne with entombment to follow at Hollywood Memorial Park in Union.
