John Sakowski –passed away at home on December 31 ^st 2021. He was surrounded by his loving family and his wife Eve Sakowski who was present when he took his last breath. John was a lifelong Bayonne resident and proud Vietnam Veteran, having served as a VFW Post 226 past Commander and member of American Legion Post 19. Along with his love of his country, he especially loved his motorcycles, his Harleys and his Indian, but they had to be American made and they had to be big and loud.  He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, brother in-law, father-in-law, uncle and dear friend to many. Pre-deceased by his parents Edward Sakowski & Teresa Lamberti and step-father Walter Lamberti (Firpo) and wonderful and loving late wife Patty (nee: Bolowski) Sakowski.  John was the cherished husband of Eve Sakowski (nee: Earley), loving father of sons John Sakowski Jr. and Lance Sakowski.  He loved his sons very much and was so proud.  Loving brother of Walter Lamberti and proud father-in-law to Vicki Sakowski (nee: Quail). Devoted grandfather of Maxim Sakowski of whom he was unbelievably proud and who he loved beyond words.  There will be a visitation for family and friends on Sunday January 9 ^th from 2-5 PM at Migliaccio Funeral Home, 851 Kennedy Blvd. (at 33 ^rd St.) in Bayonne.  There will then be a private committal service on Monday January 10 ^th at 12:30PM at General William C.
