IN LOVING MEMORY OF
John Michael
Terracciano

John Terracciano passed away peacefully on Tuesday August 31, 2021. Known as Mersh to his friends, John was born in Bayonne to the late Dominick and Grace (nee: Lozito) and was a lifelong Bayonne resident. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army during the Korean War and was a member of the Catholic War Veterans Post 1612. John was an avid New York Giants fan and a season ticket holder over several decades. He was a very shrewd card player and enjoyed trips to Atlantic City to play Blackjack and Dice. He was member of the Surplus Army and Navy Softball League playing on as well as coaching the team for many years. He was the loving husband of the late Julia "Dottie" Terracciano (nee: Pivovarnik). He was the cherished father of Joseph and husband Sean, John and wife Linda, and Michael; caring companion to Frances Nicaretta, the loving grandfather of Daniel, Holly, Andrea, Robert, Julia and Michael, and nine great-grandchildren in addition to many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters Madeline Lucente, Fannie Kushner, and brothers Ralph and Vito. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him and we are thankful for the long life he had and that he never slowed down even in his later years. In accordance with his wishes, there will be no viewing and a private service conducted by his grandson Daniel will be held at Holy Name Cemetery for immediate family. Friends and family can view the Cemetery Service at the following link: https://youtu.be/Kf60tXz84kU In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to a Veterans Organization such as k9sforwarriors.org or woundedwarriorproject.org .
