VASALLO, Jose, 68, of Bayonne, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Friday July 5th at the Jersey City Medical Center. Jose worked for Fornos of Spain Restaurant in Newark for many years before retiring. He was a beloved husband to Josephine (nee:Rodriguez), a loving father to Sylvia Gialias and her husband John, and to Sabela Norton and her husband Joseph. A cherished grandfather to Eliana and Amelia. A dear brother to Luis, Dolores, Sinda, Servando, and Jesus. Also survived by his nieces and nephews, Maria Luisa, Tono, Javier, Ricardo, Loly, Ismael, Raul, Iker, and Ivan. He was predeceased by his parents Servando and Digna (nee:Gonzalez) and his brother Serafin.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday July 10th, from 5:00 to 8:00pm at the Migliaccio Funeral Home, 851 Kennedy Blvd, (at 33rd St.), Bayonne. A Prayer Service will be offered during the visitation. Cremation to follow will be private. In lieu of flowers donations in Jose's memory may be made to Sloan-Kettering Foundation. Envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.
