Joseph Luis Calderon, lovingly known as "Monkey" by his parents, was a devoted father and loving partner who passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 9, 2026, at the young age of 29. Joseph leaves behind his beloved fiancée, Skyler Leszewski, and their cherished son, Joseph "Joey" Calderon Jr., who was the center of his world. He is also survived by his parents, Waleska Rivera and Richard Calderon; his brother, Richard JR Calderon.; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends who will forever hold his memory close.

Joseph was born on December 21, 1996, in Jersey City, New Jersey, and was a longtime resident of Bayonne. He attended Horace Mann Elementary School and Bayonne High School, where he met the love of his life and future fiancée. On July 2, 2019, Joseph and Skyler welcomed their beautiful son Joey, a moment that defined Joseph's life and purpose.

A devoted and hands-on father, Joseph dedicated every part of himself to his family, especially his son and Skye. He found joy in the simple moments they shared together. Joseph was also an avid gamer and a passionate football fan, especially of his favorite team the New England Patriots; these interests reflected his playful spirit and warm personality. Above all else, Joseph loved his family deeply and unconditionally, and that love will continue to live on through those who knew him best. He will be missed deeply and always.

A visitation and prayer service will be held for Joseph  on Friday January 16th from 11AM - 1PM at Migliaccio Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 851 Kennedy Blvd. (at 33rd St.) in Bayonne, with an interment at Holy Name Cemetery in Jersey City to immediately follow.
